Liz Yisun kwon
Liz Yisun Kwon is a New York–based curator and writer with over 15 years of experience in contemporary art and design. She specializes in education and consulting for individuals and institutions, offering deep expertise across the visual arts and architectural design. Her multidisciplinary background informs a curatorial and advisory practice that is both insightful and tailored to the highest standards.
As the Founder and Director of LYK Art Projects LLC, she leads a curatorial agency that collaborates with clients in both the public and private sectors on international art and design initiatives. Her academic background includes a B.A. in Art Education from Korea University, an M.A. in Art Theory from Seoul National University, and a Master's in Arts and Cultural Management from Pratt Institute—an interdisciplinary foundation that shapes her curatorial vision and strategic approach.
Throughout her career, she has developed and led a wide range of research and exhibition projects, with a particular focus on the evolving role of museums and institutions in contemporary culture. She fosters cross-cultural exchange between the Korean and New York art communities by combining intellectual research with the execution of exhibitions and public programs.
Previously, she served as a gallery director in Chelsea, where she curated numerous exhibitions and educational programs while consulting for private and corporate collections. As an author and critic, her publications include ‘The Great Art History Vol. 1 & 2 위대한 서양미술사 1, 2’ (2021) and ‘Art for All: Public Art in New York 모두의 미술’ (2017), along with a variety of essays and articles on contemporary art and design.
