Liz Yisun kwon

Liz Yisun Kwon is a New York–based curator and writer with over 15 years of experience in contemporary art and design. She specializes in education and consulting for individuals and institutions, focusing on the visual arts and architectural design. With a multidisciplinary background, she approaches curatorial and advisory projects with both strategic insight and a deep understanding of the field. 

As the Founder and Director of LYK Art Projects LLC, she leads a curatorial agency that collaborates with clients across public and private sectors on international art and design initiatives. Her academic journey includes a B.A. in Art Education from Korea University, an M.A. in Art Theory from Seoul National University, and a Master's in Arts and Cultural Management from Pratt Institute—an interdisciplinary foundation that continues to shape her curatorial vision.

Throughout her career, she has developed and led a range of research and exhibition projects, emphasizing the evolving role of museums and cultural institutions within contemporary society. She actively fosters cross-cultural dialogue between the Korean and New York art communities by integrating scholarly research with the development of exhibitions and public programs.

Earlier in her career, she served as a gallery director in Chelsea, where she curated numerous exhibitions and educational programs while consulting on private and corporate collections. She has published The Great Art History Vol. 1 & 2 (위대한서양미술사 1 & 2, 2021) and Art for All: Public Art in New York (모두의미술, 2017), along with various essays and articles on contemporary art and design.
